MA.STRUM is a British menswear brand originally launched in 2008 in collaboration with the Massimo Osti Archive, the legacy archive of influential Italian designer Massimo Osti.
Osti pioneered technical apparel through iconic brands such as Stone Island and C.P. Company, and his experimental approach to fabric innovation and garment engineering helped shape the foundations of MA.STRUM's early identity.
While informed by this archive, MA.STRUM was conceived as an independent venture rather than a continuation of Osti's original labels.
The name MA.STRUM has been interpreted as "Master of Arts," reflecting the brand's belief in clothing designed with intelligence, craft, and purpose. This philosophy is underpinned by a strong commitment to research and development, with the design process structured around three core pillars: Form, Fabric, and Function. Each plays a pivotal role from initial concept and material exploration through to final execution, ensuring performance, durability, and clarity of design.
MA.STRUM's aesthetic draws from sportswear, performance apparel, and military references, favouring technical fabrics, utilitarian detailing, and practical construction.
Following its initial launch, the brand became fully independent of the Massimo Osti Archive and has remained a privately owned British company since 2011.
Today, MA.STRUM is recognised internationally for modern technical menswear that balances innovation with real-world wearability.
